My floor jack leaks down how do i fix it.
In order to get at the o ring in the floor jack you will need to loosen the valve screw.
Since floor jacks can be heavy make sure that the work table is heavy duty and clear of any debris or obstacles.

Step 2 loosen valve screw.
Plan on spending the equivalent of about 50 for a good kit and shipping but that s just a general guideline.
Apply premium lubricating oil regularly to all the movable parts of the floor jack.
Release the pressure in the jack by turning the pressure release valve counter clockwise to repair a visible hydraulic fluid leak.
There are a few easy cheap things you can do to bring a floor jack.
Do you have a hydraulic jack that is slow doesn t stay up or maybe doesn t lift at all.
Be sure to check it in its extended and retracted positions.
In order to fix the leak in your floor jack you will need to place it on a solid work surface.
Try it if yours has the same symptoms it just may fix.
Step 3 open the fluid fill and turn the jack upside down to drain the hydraulic fluid out of the jack.
They are easy to repair and it can save you 150 200.
Inspect the ram of the floor jack by turning it on the side.
Use a catch container such as an oil drain pan to minimize the mess.
